Meeting Format:
Meetings are informal and fun. Snacks are provided. After announcements are made each member takes a turn announcing what local business news they have to contribute. Those bits of news are known as "scoops." Each week a different member hosts the meeting. After all scoops have been given the host has a period of time to share information about his/her business with the rest of the group. The meetings usually wrap up around 9:00am. Small fines are assessed in fun during the meeting (usually a dollar or two). The most common offenses are using the words "lead" or "tip," not bringing a scoop, or neglecting to introduce yourself before you speak. Guests are generally exempt from fines and shouldn't feel like it's necessary to come with a scoop.
